Every cat lover knows the phrase, "If I fits, I sits." If a cat sees something that he might fit in, he tries it out and sits in it, without fail. Cats are so funny that way, and in our house a simple cardboard box is always a cheap route toward entertainment. My cats do really quirky things like pull towels off racks to sit on them, too. I recently got a desk with some square bars that the cats are fascinated with. They like to sit and stare out of the bars like they're in a Sarah McLachlan commercial. Feel sorry for my babies!
It's an unsettling time to be an American for many of us. Despite record numbers during the last election, we are still dealing with some of the worst leaders we've ever seen in Congress, many elected due to their state's villainous gerrymandering, making it much harder to elect progressive leaders.
As much as I love Kamala Harris--and boy do I!--like any politician, she's not without her issues. One of them seems to be a bit tone deaf this week as it was announced that she will be hosting a discussion about empowering women and girls with none other than Bill Clinton.
Cadbury recently announced the company's pick for the 2021 Cadbury Bunny, and she's a beauty! The Australian white tree frog, Betty, was one of more than 12,000 applicants for the job. She was selected over candidates like goats, donkeys and miniature horses, and I say way to go, Betty!
The Chinese government is engaging in some worrisome activities when it comes to tracking its citizens. A biometric ID is in development for tracking citizen use of the Internet. Some media reports are even saying that there are even ID trackers in the works to track location and DNA. Many civil and human rights activists are outraged by this government intrusion, but some people, even those in the West, think it's really no big deal.
Hopefully you aren't like me, planting seeds way too early in the season outside (whoops!). Every year I know better and I still get suckered in! Maybe you're making spring flower crafts inside instead, which is much more sensible and helps give your space lots of pretty color.
Spring fever is officially here, and with it comes spring scent fever! Everyone has their spring scents either out and available or coming soon, and it's very tempting to get on the spring scent wagon and make everything smell like nature and goodness.
While I'm sure there are some people who don't enjoy peanut butter and jelly (and sadly, many who can't have it), I know there are lots of variations, alternatives and takes on the treat that can make it accessible to almost anyone who wants it. I grew up loving crunchy peanut butter with strawberry jam best, but I have rarely met a PB&J that I don't like!
Do you get the urge to PLANT ALL THE THINGS the first week it gets warm and pretty where you live? Yeah, me too. I know better. The last frost isn't supposed to be until May this year in the Midwest where I live, which means way too much living. My plan is to patch up my old greenhouse (my kiddo broke the plastic one winter with a hockey stick) and put my pots inside to help keep my babies safe because... yes. I did plant a bunch of seeds.
The Southwestern Institute of Physics (SWIP) is located in Chengdu City, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. They have just launched a key project to advance global nuclear fusion research. The project is called the Helium-Cooled Ceramic Breeder Test Blanket System (HCCB-TBS).

Solar thermal propulsion has two particular areas of application. Earth-orbit transfers and scientific interplanetary missions.
